COMES SA GENERAL DIRECTOR, ANTON IOAN MĂZĂRIANU, HAILED AS A MAIN PLAYER IN ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY

23.07.2026

Ioan Anton Mazarianu has led COMES SA since 2000, building on the iconic brand's strengths while making bold investments in COMES`s team, digital capabilities, customer experience and a transformative strategy that placed stores as the center of both industrial development and digital fulfillment. Under his guidance, COMES SA has grown sales by tens of millions of dollars.

Anton Ioan Măzărianu became a leading actor in the new economic diplomacy

Good news is coming for Romanian economic diplomacy from Piatra Neamț with the launch, at COMES Savinești, of a new production platform for large-scale pressure equipment and spare parts for the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industries, and now ready for the production of large-scale equipment of up to 450 tons.

The announcement by Mr. Anton Ioan Măzărianu, the general manager of COMES company, "We now produce equipment with a capacity of up to 250 tons, but from March we will be able to deliver equipment with a capacity of up to 450 tons" produced, as expected, a massive interest in the new opportunities of the German company.

Thus eager to present and support the COMES company on foreign markets, the only possibility for the company to develop further and remain one of the main growth poles at the local level, the general manager, Mr. Anton Ioan Măzărianu, became strongly involved in economic diplomacy, hosting teams of diplomats from various countries in a short time and becoming the President of the Romania-Laos Business Council (CARL) and the Romania-Libya Chamber of Commerce.

These smart moves positioned COMES at the forefront of relations with ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and Africa and offered a model for Romanian companies interested in avoiding bankruptcy, during this difficult period and have shown the way for those who wish to continue expanding their business portfolio.

Currently, COMES SA continues to produce heat transfer equipment, pressure equipment and spare parts for the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, nuclear and energy industries.

The German company has also created a separate division that deals with the installation, commissioning and maintenance services of pressure equipment at a national and international level.

According to the company's latest press releases, the COMES portfolio also includes an LPG and propane storage vessel project located in Africa, as well as the production of heavy pressure equipment, exports to countries in Africa, Asia and Europe (among the main destinations are: Lithuania, Egypt, Bulgaria, Germany, France and Italy).

The example provided by COMES SA and its energetic director, Anton Ioan Măzărianu, shows that, regardless of the difficulties, economic diplomacy and the participation of large Romanian companies in this effort supported by image, promotion and diplomacy is the only way to ensure the continuous development of the Romanian economy in the more than difficult internal and external climate we are going through.

The company from Săvinești has proven that the "by ourselves" model still remains current.
